Protected Sites
Through its “Special Places” heritage site inventory, Gimli’s Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee has identified a group of sites with potential historic significance.
An analysis of these resulted in a short list of sites that, together, tell Gimli’s story particularly well. Some of these sites have been additionally honoured with heritage designation for their particular significance to the community.
Owners of these protected sites have undertaken to continue to maintain them in a way that respects their heritage character while still recognizing that they are functioning buildings in the modern world.
