Special Projects

Members of the Gimli Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (MHAC), in co-operation with Manitoba Culture, Heritage and Tourism, have carried out a number of major projects illuminating Gimli’s impressive built heritage.

As the centrepieces of a Manitoba Day celebration in 2009, called If These Walls Could Talk, the Gimli MHAC commissioned two important interpretive and educational products:

Ken Krebs developed a PowerPoint presentation highlighting some of Gimli’s most significant heritage buildings.

Matthew Wright produced and directed a 12 minute video If These Walls Could Talk

Interested parties can contact the MHAC (or the RM office) to learn more about these products, and in particular about opportunities to copy them for use in schools and other venues.
