The Thorson Cottage, on Fourth Avenue was built in 1918, by one of Gimli’s early mayors, Stefan Thorson. Stefan’s son Charlie, a gifted artist, moved to Hollywood and is credited with creating cartoon characters Bugs Bunny and Snow White.
